HI Joe, what a small world we live in. Well I live in Wash. state now. Moved out of the bronx 2000. My family still lives in the bronx though and I try to go back once a year to visit. I lived in throggs Neck and attened St. Helenas bussiness School, which is no longer there. Great school, had lots of fun there. I belonged to the DA Beach club on Randall ave and lived on Clarence Ave. next to the club. My mom is still active in the clubs. She is now the president of the American Turner club on Clarence Avenue.
Buscos was my favorite place to get heros. mmmmmmmmmmm They don't have good italian food here in Sequim, wash. My favoirte restaurant is louis seafood on tremont ave. If you view my pics you can see a pic of my family and the louis restaruant behind them.
My niece Danielle went to ola. She would be in college now but was killed w 2 years ago in the bronx. She was only 17. That's another story.
Growing up I hung out at German Stadium and was on there volley ball team. We were called the Beerbreakers. We had lots of breaks, lol.
My mom lives on country club road and is very active in the community. Emma Damm. Usually when I mentioned her name people recognize it. Well, now I am homsick. Nice meeting you Joe.
I just joined this site today. Got the link from Back in the Bronx site, which i am a member of also. Take Care, Kathi

I graduated from hs 1978 and 1979 moved To san Diego and met a man from the bronx who I married. He was from castle hill. Can you belive it, I move all the way to calif to meet a guy from the bronx, lol. We married and had a beautiful boy who is now 26 and still is living in San Diego and is working on getting his pilot license. Little nervous about his new venture but it sure is an awesome one. I am sure we know the same people and maybe if we every met, we would recognize eachother from the neighborhood. My email address is kat@olypen.com. keep in touch, kathi
My mother was the president of the Turner for 8 years - my daugher is a waitress there and my girls grew up in the Turner and DA Beack Club. My mom had her wedding 52 years ago at the DA - is the longest standing member. We grew up right next door to the DA and down the block from the Turner. I still reside in Throggsneck.

PS....I do remember the STEREO LOUNGE , although i was no disco guy...did they use that location in " summer of sam " ??
I use to live on Vincent Avenue - still resided in Throggsneck until Saturday - just moved to Hobart Avenue in Pelham Bay. Remember the Stereo Lounge on Westchester Square?
Geez, I was in the Square all the time (even went to the theater there for my only porno flick), but I don't remember the Stereo Lounge. Where exactly was it in relation to say, the Woolworth's?
Good morning Mike. I remember when the "Square Movie theater" turned porno. A sign of the times coming and not a good sign. On one of my trips back to the Bronx several years ago, I went into Woolworths and the wooden floor was the same and the old familiar smells were even there. I will be coming up there (I live in Boca Raton, Fl.) and meeting up with my childhood buddy and Daughter and going to see "The Bronx Wanderers" (My friend Vinny LOL) perform at Michaels Restaurant on Boston Post Rd. on this Wednesday night. Vinny used to play with my good friend Dion. Get your friends together and come on down!
I was raised in Throggs Neck and also lived in Pelham Bay. In fact, this past weekend I moved back to Pelham Bay from Throggs Neck. I live on Hobart Avenue off of 195th Street. I was good friends with the first girl killed by the Son of Sam - she lived and was killed on Buhre Avenue.
